Join MindMics in this newly created position of VP, Research & Development based out of our Krakow office. Amongst other responsibilities, the VP, Research & Development will lead the data science, data management, and business intelligence teams. The individual will drive the development of algorithms from hypothesis to advanced development to provide efficient solutions ready for deployment to the software platform. They will also Lead clinical verification and validation of health metrics to deliver clinical accuracy and FDA compliant quality.
This position is a remote position but requires the candidate to be within a commutable distance to our office to facilitate in person meetings when necessary.
Responsibilities
Lead the data science, data management and business intelligence teams.
Develop a roadmap for the team, working cross-functionally with the rest of the organization.
Architect, develop and implement a data analytics strategy and roadmap in partnership with broader commercial, data science, engineering, and product teams
Use data to craft compelling stories and visualizations that equip decision-makers to effectively execute on business and product strategy with every possible insight at their fingertips
Manage IP and publication portfolio.
Execute a continual planning process that delivers dependable results
Foster a culture of curiosity and discovery
Develop an organizational obsession with delivering high-quality data insights efficiently and effectively
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and operations so that the company's data asset delivers outsized returns
Work with external collaborators including clinical sites and partners
Influence quality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development of new and improved procedures, process innovations, and training.
Manage, develop, and grow a world-class analytics team of motivated and curious individuals
Leading clinical verification and validation of health metrics to deliver clinical accuracy and FDA compliant quality
Drive the development of algorithms from hypothesis to advanced development to provide efficient solutions ready for deployment to the software platform
Qualifications
PhD or Master's degree in quantitative science or data engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
Previous experience with healthcare, the health & wellness, and or regulated medical device
Familiarity with human data and verification and validation of methodologies.
Strong experience with iterative delivery methodologies such as Agile or Scrum applied to data science or machine learning teams
Must be familiar with Python, Pandas, GitLab.
Deep expertise in signal processing, time–series analysis
Expertise in machine learning understanding of algorithm development and testing
Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and all levels of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading teams in a high growth environment
Experience in applying and managing grants
